Eat Well All Year with Sir Mac Beef Shares.
From backyard grilling season to holiday gatherings, our Beef Shares give you the convenience of a well-stocked freezer and the confidence of knowing exactly where your food comes from. With a wide variety of cuts ready when you need them, meal planning becomes easier, smarter, and more economical for families committed to eating well every day.
The majority of our cattle are pasture-finished on spent grain sourced from local breweries, creating rich flavor and exceptional quality. During the winter months, we supplement with hay as needed to maintain consistent nutrition and care.
Our spent grain partners include Montavilla Brew Works, Threshold Brewing, and the Brewery at McMenamins Crystal Ballroom. If you’re in their neighborhood, we encourage you to stop in and enjoy their craft — and even better, bring some home to pair with a Sir Mac steak.
We offer Standard Angus and American Aberdeen Angus beef in 1/4, 1/2 or whole shares. To ensure a variety of cuts we encourage customers to partner with friends and family to purchase the largest share possible. Our price per pound is based on hanging weight of animal. Because animals differ in size we can only give you an approximation of weight to determine your total price.
The price is decided based on hanging weight of animal divided by your share, plus:
cut and wrap fees
slaughter fee
delivery (can be negotiated)
Currently our beef is processed at Mountain Valley Meat Service in Parkdale, Oregon.
Meet will arrive pre-cut to our most popular portion specifications and each cut is individually packaged and labeled with cut name.
How do I get started?
FIRST...
Decide your desired share size, how much beef or pork do you want? Our standard Angus hang around 730 pounds while our Aberdeen Angus hang approximately 450 pounds. Our hogs average 200 pounds hanging weight. Choose which share size is best for you. For Aberdeen Angus we would recommend getting one share larger than a standard Angus. This again is to ensure a variety of cuts.

Now your share size is determined, the next consideration is availability. We typically finish steers throughout the year to keep up with demand. Once steers are finished we transport them to Mount Valley Meat Service for processing. You will have the choice of giving cutting instruction to the butcher.
